Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Florence, Hotel Bigallo offers a prime location steps away from the magnificent Duomo, making it a convenient base for exploring the city on foot. The friendly staff goes the extra mile, accommodating early check-ins and late departures with no additional charge, ensuring a seamless experience. The room we stayed in boasted a picturesque view, comfortably furnished with modern amenities like air conditioning and a spacious bathroom, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. While the breakfast selection was limited, the quality was commendable, fueling us for a day of adventure. The unique double-floor room we were assigned added an unexpected charm to our stay, with a layout that felt both spacious and luxurious. The hotel's policy of holding room keys at the reception enhances security, offering peace of mind to guests.Hotel Bigallo strikes a fine balance between luxury and value, with its unbeatable location and attentive service outweighing any minor shortcomings. It's a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.
